LYNCHBURG, Tenn. — The Moore County Middle School girls and boys basketball teams will open their respective seasons on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at Liberty Middle School, embarking on a compact schedule that will see the teams play seven games each during a 16-day stretch.
The girls game will tip off at 6 p.m.
Following the season-opener on the road, the teams will be back in the friendly confines of their home gymnasium for four straight contests.
MCMS will host Community on Thursday, Oct. 15; Huntland on Monday, Oct. 19; Westwood on Tuesday, Oct. 20; and Eagleville on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
The Raiders and Raiderettes will be on the road Oct. 26 at Forrest and Oct. 29 at Middle Tennessee Christian School as they will get seven games in the books before Halloween.
November features an eight-game slate that will be highlighted by five road games, including four straight from Nov. 10 to Nov. 19.
The teams will play three regular season games in December, wrapping up the regular season with a home game against Fayetteville City on Thursday, Dec. 10.
The Duck River Valley Conference World Tournament is scheduled for Dec. 12-19; the location has not been determined.
Along with the scheduled regular season games, there will also be a handful of junior varsity games.
Moore County High School teams don’t kick off their season until Nov. 17 at Richland, the first of six games to be contested on the road.
