The principal and faculty of Moore County Middle School recently announce that seventh grader Kiera Hester was selected as Student of the Month for the month of March for exhibiting the character trait of trustworthiness.

Student of the Month is an ongoing program that recognizes a single student for exemplifying the character trait of the month.

According to school officials, Kiera shows trustworthiness by being a hard worker, not having to be reminded to do her homework and always having what she needs for class.  “She is dependable and remembers to return things she borrows. She is also kind and considerate to others and is a pleasant person to have around,” say officials.

Kiera is the 12-year-old daughter of Olivia and Matt Hester. She enjoys hanging out with friends, cheering, fishing, hunting, dancing, cooking and playing with her little sister Ashlynn.  She hopes to be a registered nurse or a teacher in the future.

As Student of the Month, Kiera received a goodie bag that included coupons from Sonic, Hardee’s, Lynchburg Drug Store, Domino’s Pizza, Dairy Queen, Taco Bell, Tullahoma Lanes, Krystal, Arby’s, Woodard’s and The Iron Kettle. She also received a certificate of recognition, a homework pass, a PE pass and a free ice cream from the cafeteria.  Look for her name on the sign in front of the school.
