MARY JO CLARK FLETCHER

FLETCHER, Mrs. Mary Jo Clark, of Moore County, died Friday, March 8, 2013 at Harton Hospital, Tullahoma. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 10 in the Jennings Moore-Cortner Chapel. Burial followed in the Lynchburg Cemetery in Moore County. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the Jennings Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. She was born Oct. 29, 1927 in Manchester, Tenn., to the late Joseph and Leona Ross Clark. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Ben Payne Fletcher, Sr.; sisters, Bessie Chambers and Mattie Payne; and brother, John Ross Clark. She is survived by sons, Ben Payne Fletcher, Jr., and wife Donna, Frank Clark Fletcher and wife Karen; both of Lynchburg; and daughter, Linda Blanton and husband Ronnie of Lascassas, Tenn. Grandchildren are Felicia Fletcher, Marcia Wilcox (Harvey), Paul Fletcher (Robyn), Chris Fletcher and Kaleigh Hatfield (Tyler); and great-grandchildren, Jasmine and Jordan Wilcox, Ben, Maecy and Katy Fletcher; and Madison Nicole Hatfield. She worked for the Moore County Farmer’s Co-op and the Tennessee Farm Bureau from November 1955 until April 1991 at the time of her retirement. She was a member of the Lady’s Auxiliary, the POW/MIA Organization, and the Lady’s Home Demonstration Group. Memorials may be made to Camp Joy, Moore County Libraries, the American Heart Association or the POW/MIA Fund. Jennings Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
