Rutledge, Martha Ann, 74, of Fayetteville, passed away Wednesday morning, Feb. 6, 2013 at her residence after a battle with cancer. A native of Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late James Wiles and Mary Odell Groce. She was a cafeteria worker employed by the Moore County School System and was of the Baptist faith. Martha enjoyed fishing, spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her puppy dogs and spending time sitting on her front porch enjoying the sunshine. She is survived by her husband, Fred Rutledge, of Fayetteville; sons James R. Rutledge and his wife Brenda of Statham, Ga., and Terry W. Rutledge and his wife Donna of Jefferson, Ga.; daughters Donna R. Williams of Fayetteville, Tonna R. Eslick and her husband Clayton of Lynchburg and Patty Ann Richardson and her husband Michael of Fayetteville; sister Sandra F. Young of Savannah, Ga.,; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way (due Feb. 24); and several nieces and nephews and camping friends. She was preceded in death by her sister Peggy Jo Sasser. The family received friends on Thursday, Feb. 7, with funeral services at 2 p.m. at the Lynchburg Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro.
