Lynchburg Angel Tree Program accepting local applications

Posted on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 3:48 pm

Christmas is just around the corner and anyone in the Moore County community needing assistance should come by the Moore County Public Library and fill out an application for the Santa Stocking Stuffers Program beginning Nov. 1.

In order to qualify, each family must meet the Federal Poverty guidelines and be a resident of Moore County. Children between the ages of birth to 18 years (as long as they are in high school) are eligible.
To apply, parents need to bring a current pay stub, proof of residency, sizes of clothing and two “toy” wishes for your children.

The application deadline is Dec. 1 at noon.

“Our goal is to make the Christmas season a little less stressful for our community’s low income families by providing gifts and food,” said organizer Peggy Gold.

If you know of anyone who qualifies, feel free to call Gold at 759-7285 or Nancy Primus at 759-7880.•
