MOORE COUNTY 4-H CLAYBUSTERS-L to R: Alex Black, Brandon Sisk, Satchel Mann, Emma Trussell, Ryan Bozeman

The Friends of NRA Foundation has awarded the Moore County 4-H shooting sports team with a year of ammunition for the trap and skeet season.

Moore County 4-H Shooting Sports includes trap, skeet and archery disciplines available to youth with guidance provided by certified instructors. Opportunities are offered to youth on the county, state, and national levels to gain knowledge of firearm safety and technique.

“With the support of the NRA Foundation, members are able to focus on growing as safe marksmen without the concern of locating and funding their ammunition for the year. This removes one of the largest barriers for youth and allows them to participate in hands-on, outdoor education,” said Alex Sparks, Moore County 4-H agent.

Members also had the opportunity to network with community members at the 2022 Highland Rim Friends of the NRA Banquet hosted in Manchester, TN. Giving back during an evening of fellowship and celebration is an annual tradition the team looks forward to.

The team eagerly awaits February to kick off the next season. A huge thank you to coach Kerry Syler, Scott and Tina Sisk, and the NRA for your dedication to the Moore County 4-H Shooting Sports program.
