Local banks, American Legion Auxiliary Unit host flag signings

LYNCHBURG, Tenn. — The American Legion Auxiliary unit of Lynchburg along with Farmer’s Bank, Lynchburg Bank, Moore County Bank and Jack Daniel Employees’ Credit Union will be hosting flag signing from Nov. 9 through Nov. 14.

They ask they patrons stop in and sign a “We Support Our Troops” flag.

“Love for a Solider” provides flags to be signed and sends them to deployed troops around the world. Students at Lynchburg Elementary and Moore County High School are currently collecting items for “Love for a Solider” gift boxes as well.

In support of the effort at LES and MCHS, the American Legion Auxiliary of Lynchburg will also be collecting donations to help cover shipping cost of the care packages. Donations will be accepted at each participating location during normal business hours Nov. 9-14. Donations will be taken at LES and MCHS through Friday, Nov. 13.

Donations can also be sent to Love for a Solider, P.O. Box 358, Lynchburg, TN 37352.
