4-H State Council Members from Tennessee and Moore County 4-H Agent Brenda Hannah had the privilege to attend church in Plains, Ga., to listen to former President Jimmy Carter preach at the Maranatha Baptist Church.

The group left Dec. 27 with several educational stops. They visited the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library in Atlanta before heading to Plains. After church service on Dec. 28, they were able to meet the former president and Mrs. Carter and have a group photo made.

The group also enjoyed a tour of his boyhood home, President Carter’s Museum, and eat some of their famous peanut ice cream.
