Rogers, Dossett Lee Sr., 77, of Belvidere, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at his residence. A native of Franklin County, he was born in Estill Springs on July 30, 1937 to the late John Henry and Verna Mae Smith Rogers. Dossett was employed as the grounds and roads superintendent at AEDC before his retirement. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Rogers; and sister, Minta Cleijo Rogers. He is survived by his sons, Dossett Lee (Sharon) Rogers Jr., of LaVergne, Wade (Kristy) Rogers of Winchester; daughter, Suzanne (Clay) Fanning of Winchester; son, Carlton Ross ‘Dusty’ (Joy) Rogers of Belvidere; brothers, John (Edna) Rogers of Decherd, Bill (Poca) Rogers of Winchester, and Frank (Ruth) Rogers of Flint, Mich.; sister, Martha ‘Sis’ (Roland) Stewart of Winchester; grandchildren, Suzanne Thorton, Dossett Lee Rogers III, Ross Rogers, Peyton Punch, Lincoln Rogers, Heath Rogers, Lacy Ivey, Clint Fanning, Cassie Rogers and Zach Rogers; and great-grandchildren, Nila Belle Thorton, Weston Bryant Thorton, Christopher Haden Rogers, Grady Wade Rogers, Sadie Layne Ivey, and Allie Paige Ivey. Funeral Services were held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 19 at Winchester Church of Christ. Interment followed at Mt. Garner Cemetery in Decherd. Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
