The Motlow Lady Bucks will begin their fall softball schedule when they travel to Chattanooga to face Tennessee Temple on Friday, Sept. 6. The first pitch of the doubleheader is scheduled for 2 p.m. central.
Motlow College will play an 18-game fall schedule, primarily against four-year university teams. The games are not official and do not count towards school records or individual records. However, Head Coach Tori Raby-Gentry knows this is a valuable time for her 2014 squad.
“We will utilize this fall schedule to see where we are, and what we need to do, to give us the best opportunity to win a conference title in the spring and make it to the national tournament in Utah,” Raby-Gentry said.
“I am looking forward to seeing our returning players and our freshmen come together,” she said. “We have a talented team and there is competition at every position, which is only going to make us better.”
All fall games are road games, including trips to Trevecca, Martin Methodist, Tennessee Tech, Austin Peay and the University of Alabama-Huntsville. The schedule ends on Oct. 4 with a doubleheader at Belmont University in Nashville.
