Horton, J.W. “Jim”, 78, of Fayetteville, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015 at his residence. He was born Sept. 7, 1936 in Frederick, Okla., to the late Tommie Theodore Horton and Lillian Lucille Greenway Horton. He served in the US Marine Corps and was a member of Brandon Chapel United Methodist Church. He worked as an auto mechanic and loved NASCAR racing, especially No. 2, Rusty Wallace. Survivors include his wife Eileen Horton, of Fayetteville; sons, Tommy Little of Arlington, Texas, William (Joyce) Horton of Shelbyville, and Daniel Horton, of Lake Elsinore, Calif.; daughter, Stacey Horton Mason of Shelbyville; stepchildren, Jessica (Dewayne) Milligan of Waco, Texas, Elizabeth Thomas of Fayetteville, James Braun of Herriman, Utah, Robert (Beth) Braun of Lewisburg and Sean (Wanda) Braun of Shelbyville; sisters, Genevieve Harrison of New Waverly, Texas and Lillian (Glen) Powers of Ft. Lupton, Colo.; brother, Gerald (Sharon) Horton of Dumas, Texas; 21 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015 at Limbaugh Cemetery with Bro. A.J. Alderman officiating. Jennings Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
