Jennifer Carol Parks Rottenberger, 37

Rottenberger, Jennifer Carol Parks, 37, of Norfolk, Va., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013 at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Va. A native of Moore County, she was the daughter of Melvin Dale and Judy Carol Smith Parks of Lynchburg. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, cross-stitching, baking and decorating cakes. She also loved animals. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Elizabeth and Walter Smith, paternal grandmother Josephine Weddington Brown, and father-in-law John Samuel Rottenberger. Mrs. Rottenberger is survived by her husband Christopher Allen Rottenberger; daughter Elizabeth Grace Bowers, both of Norfolk, Va.,; her parents; three brothers Walter Dale (Brittany) Parks and Timothy Lee (Georgia Smith) Parks, both of Lynchburg, Jeffery Lynn (Heather Horton) Parks of Burbank, Calif.; paternal grandfather Lee V. Parks of Winchester; mother-in-law Sheryl Rottenberger of Cincinnati, Ohio; several aunts and uncles; one niece and four nephews whom she loved very much. Visitation with the family was held Monday, Sept. 16 in the Chapel of Tullahoma Funeral Home. Funeral Services were Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Tullahoma Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Wiser officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to The Fisher House Foundation, 853 Fisher Drive, Portsmouth, VA., 23708.
