Harrison, James ‘Jim’ Oscar, 73, of the Alto Community, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Southern Tennessee Regional Medical Center. Jim was a devoted fan of the University of Tennessee Volunteers, as well as the Lady Vols. He was born in Moore County on Dec. 21, 1941 to the late P.O. and Nancy Trixie (Taylor) Harrison. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Taylor and Thelma Jo Harrison; nieces, Carol Ann Harrison and Nancy Harrison; and nephew, Gary Wayne Harrison. He is survived by his wife, Patty Garner Harrison of the Alto Community; son, James Wayne ‘Jim Jim’ Harrison of Ardmore, Ala.; granddaughters, Sierra Harrison of Flintville and Jessica (Troy) Rackley of Winchester; great-grandson, Aidan Rackley of Winchester; sister, Kathy (Jerry) Crownover of Winchester; brothers, Wayne (Carolyn) Harrison and Glen (Trixie) Harrison, both of Moore County; and sister-in-law June Smith of the Alto Community. Funeral Services were held on Friday, April 24 at 2 p.m. in the Moore-Cortner Chapel. Interment followed at Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester. Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
