Evans, James ‘Jimmy’ Edward, of Lynchburg, passed away Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014 at the Lynchburg Nursing Center. A native of Moore County he was the son of the late Harville Evans and Grace Grant Evans. He was employed as a machine operator with United Technology Corporation and attended Lynchburg Church of Christ. Mr. Evans enjoyed working and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his son, Eddy Evans and his wife Lorie of Mulberry; brother Harville Ray Evans of Lynchburg; and sister Rosaline Brannon of Shelbyville; and grandchildren Trenton and Kelsie Evans of Lynchburg. He was also preceded in death by his wife Mary Summers Evans. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. at the Lynchburg Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Richard Logan officiating.
