JAMES DONALD WEAVER

WEAVER, James Donald, ‘Donnie,’ 65, of Lynchburg, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tenn. Donnie was born July 4, 1947 in Franklin County to the late James and Wilma Weaver. He was an Instrument Technician, working with TVA Nuclear Power Plants as well as Arnold Air Force Base. He was a member of Lynchburg First United Methodist Church and a Mason. His blood ran true orange as well as Raider Blue, for which he served as a faithful member of the Chain Gang and the Football Boosters. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Elaine Vaughan Weaver; children, Matt and Amanda Weaver and Joe and Katie Manus; three precious grandchildren, Landon, Ian, and Aidan Weaver; and a brother, Mickey and Kathy Weaver of Winchester. Visitation was held Sunday, Jan. 6 at Lynchburg First United Methodist Church. Funeral services followed at 3 p.m., with Rev. Ricky Lee officiating. Burial followed in Lynchburg Cemetery. Josh Hornaday, Ted Pierce, Cameron Haack, Chris Watkins, Bobby Rymer, Dave D’Angelo, James Reynolds and Doug Price served as pallbearers. Jennings Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
