Honduras Thrasher of Belvidere, Tenn. went to his heavenly home on November 3, 2012 after an extended illness.

He was 82, born August 14, 1930 and a Veteran of the Korean War.

He was the son of Gurley L. and Bessie L. (Hendrix) Thrasher of Belvidere.

Honduras is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lorene (Benson) Thrasher; two children, Randall Thrasher and Rebecca Thrasher (Lyndon) Haston, all of Belvidere; a sister Henrietta (Charles) Dillon from Smyrna, Tenn.; grandsons Aaron G. (Maranda) Thrasher of Spanaway, Wash. and R. Cain (Cherry) Thrasher of Belvidere, nieces, LeAnne Langston Rice of Hermitage, Tenn. and Shannon Langston Alford of Lebanon, Tenn., nephews, Roy Wayne Whitworth of Gurley, Ala., Roger Whitworth of Park City, Tenn. and Johnny Whitworth of Fayetteville, Tenn.; great- granddaughter, Arabella R. Thrasher of Spanaway, Wash.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Martha Anders, niece, Stacye Langston, nephew, Allen Whitworth and stepmothers, Luverl Steelman Thrasher and Vinnie Bates Thrasher.

Honduras had an over 40-year career as a milk truck driver for many middle Tennessee dairy companies.  He treasured time spent with family and had a love for farming and being outdoors in the country.  Funeral services were held on Wednesday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.  Burial followed in Walnut Grove Cemetery at the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church in Belvidere where he was a member for many years.
