Hawkins third at Lincoln County cross country meet

Moore County’s Kursten Hawkins was the first Raiderette to cross the finish line during the team’s meet in Fayetteville on Sept. 30.

At Lincoln County High School, Hawkins finished third overall with a time of 22 minutes, 53 seconds. Moore County’s Taylor Holcomb and Kinsley Logan finished at the 23:58 mark as MCHS placed three runners in the top 10.

There were eight schools represented at the meet. Complete results were not available.

Delaney Stevens was Moore County’s fourth runner at 25:31, while Rainey and Hill were next to finish for Moore County at the 27:28 mark.

Others competing for the Raiderettes included Makayla Ray (28:57), Faith Cauble (28:58), Amberlyn Holman (33:34), Grace Cauble (34:12), Delaney Hart (34:53), Haley Henshaw (35:01), Rebecca Baxter (35:56) and Taylor LaCook (36:05).

Moore County is scheduled to compete in the Mid-State Cross Country Association championships on Saturday.
