The Lynchburg Chamber of Commerce recently announced the dates for the 2012 Frontier Days celebration in historic Lynchburg. The annual celebration will take place Thursday through Saturday (June 21-23) on the Lynchburg Square and Wiseman Park.
The annual parade will take place on Saturday. There will be cash prizes for the best entries in several categories. Rambler – the Tennessee State Park System’s new mascot – will ride in the parade and be available for autographs. Parade line up is at 11 a.m.
As always, there will be a rodeo and street dance on Friday and Saturday nights. Fireworks will follow Saturday night’s rodeo performance.
The event will also feature a carnival, games, petting zoo, rides and a mechanical bull plus karaoke. For a full schedule of events, watch The Moore County News or visit lynchburgtn.com.
The deadline for non-profit vendors is Tuesday, June 5.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of Frontier Days. The Chamber will take pre-orders for a limited number of commemorative t-shirts. They are available in adult ($10), children ($8) and 2X ($12) sizes.
