Excursion train heads to Watertown

The Tennessee Central Railway Museum in Nashville starts off its Fall excursion train schedule with the Mile-Long Yard Sale trip to Watertown, Tenn., scheduled for September 29. Boarding begins at 8:30 a.m.

Riders will enjoy the middle Tennessee fall foliage along the way. Once in Watertown, riders can browse bargains and sample foods from the vendors near the train station.

Parking is free. Refreshments are available in the dining car of the train. Railroad souvenirs are also available for purchase aboard the train. The train will return to the Nashville station around 3:30 p.m.

Ticket prices are $32 for regular seats, $42 for first class and $75 for seats in the special glass dome above the train.
