Sullenger, Elwyn Jennings Walker, 95, of Mulberry, passed away Tuesday night, Feb. 3, 2015 at the Lynchburg Nursing Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Sullenger will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Langford officiating. Burial will follow in the Champ cemetery. A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Aaron and Ethel Taylor Jennings. Mrs. Sullenger was a retired teacher and a member of the Champ Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her son Dr. Nat Walker of Mulberry; a sister Linda Oeinck of Redlands, Calif.; step-children Charlotte Young of Franklin, Judi Adkisson of Nashville and Martha DeBarthe of Taneytown, Md.; grandchildren Dr. Deanna Belyeu of Blue Ridge, Ga., Natalie Zlatovich of Henderson, Jon Walker of Mulberry; great-grandchildren Austin and Walker Belyeu of Blue Ridge, Ga., and Jesse Walker of Mulberry. Mrs. Sullenger was preceded in death by husbands W. F. Walker and Herman Sullenger, brother A. G. Jennings Jr., and sister Mary Sue Prince. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 5-8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Champ Cemetery. Higgins Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
