The annual Holiday Kickoff is set for Saturday, Nov. 21 this year. It includes the 2015 Collector’s Ornament Giveaway and the High Tea fundraiser for Project Graduation. Select businesses will be hosting Open House and patrons will be able to register to win Santa’s Stocking, which is stuffed full of gifts valued at more than $300.
On Saturday, Dec. 5, Lynchburg and the Chamber will host Christmas in Lynchburg beginning at 8 a.m.
A parade is planned with a surprise Grand Marshall. Organizers hope to make this one of the largest parades in recent memory and have anted up more than $600 in prize money to entice participants.
As always, no Christmas in Lynchburg would be complete with Santa Clause, and both big kids and little kids alike will be able to have their photo taken with the Jolly Ol’ Elf himself during Breakfast with Santa.
There’s also the fce cookie sale, the trees of Christmas display, clogging, a dog costume contest (with ribbons and prize money) and much more to look forward to.
