EAGLEVILLE – The Moore County Raiderettes lost to Collinwood 41-28 in the Class A Sectional at Eagleville High School Saturday night, ending the Raiderettes’ season one game shy of the state tournament.

Kelsey Camp and Sarah Raby scored eight points apiece, while fellow seniors Erica Limbaugh and Erin Thomas had six each.

The game marked the end of the prep careers for these four players, the only seniors on the MCHS team.

Moore County trailed by just seven points, 30-23, with 5:53 left to play following a pair of free throws by Camp.

But the Lady Trojans extended the lead back to double figures with 3:49 remaining and the Raiderettes never got any closer. Collinwood hit its free throws down the stretch to hang onto the lead and advance to the TSSAA state tournament.

Collinwood’s Alexis Haddock led all scorers with 20 points.
