LYNCHBURG, Tenn. — Metro Lynchburg Moore County Director of Schools Chad Moorehead announced today that Charles ‘Chuck’ Tracy has been hired as the new principal at Moore County High School.
Tracy was hired from a pool of 12 applicants according to Moorehead. Half of those 12 were interviewed and four of the filmed interviews were then shared with more than 30 community members — including teachers, parents, students, administrators and school support staff — during the vetting process.
Moorehead said that Tracy will begin his new role as MCHS principal in July. He replaces Buddy Smith, who took a position with a school system in East Tennessee in order to be closer to family.
