The Moore County Public Pool has opened for the season, greeting summer swimmers with new furniture, a new fence and needed repairs to the diving board.

The pool is open Monday through Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. each day. It costs $2 for children ages 4 to 17 to enter; admission for adults 18 and up are $3, while children ages 3 and under are admitted free of charge.

“We also have Senior Citizen Water Aerobics from 10 to 11 on Wednesday morning starting June 5,” said pool manager Cortney Thomas, adding that the new additions and improvements were welcome.

“We have the privacy fence, the tanning chairs, picnic tables, the slide and the diving board. It is all looking really good this  year.

“You can also book a party. To do that, call the pool phone number at (931) 759-6079 or call my cell phone number at (931) 307-8841.”

Senior citizens interested in the weekly water aerobics may also contact Kathy at the Senior Center at (931) 759-2317.
