U.S. Senate candidate Bill Hagerty visited Lynchburg on Thursday, part of a swing through Middle Tennessee.

Hagerty, businessman and former ambassador to Japan, met with Metro Mayor Bonnie Lewis and Moore County Fire Chief Mark Neal among others during his time in Lynchburg.
Hagerty is running in the Republican primary for the seat that is being vacated by Lamar Alexander. That election is on Aug. 6.
