Posted on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 5:49 pm

Temperatures will dip into the thirties on Friday night, so why not enjoy a steaming, hot bowl of homemade chili and support a worthy, local cause?

The Moore County Raider Baseball Program will host their annual Benefit Chili Supper on Friday night just prior to the Raiderettes, Raiders home match up against District 9A rival Community High School.

Chili will be served beginning at 4:30 p.m. and continue until just before tip off. The cost is $6 for a bowl of chili, homemade dessert and a drink.

“Please come support the baseball team,” says varsity head coach Josh Deal.

The Raiders kick off their 2012 season on March 12 in Lynchburg at Jim Burton Field against Grundy County.
