Benefit 5K supports spay, neuter clinic

Shelbyville, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee Spay and Neuter Clinic plans it’s fourth annual Paws for a Cause 5K run and one-mile fun walk for March 24 in Shelbyville.

The event takes place at 10 a.m. at Calsonic Arena. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the cost is $25 per person. Those who pre-register will receive a free race day t-shirt.

According to the groups website, the mission of the non-profit organization is to “help alleviate pet overpopulation by providing affordable spay/neuter services for dogs and cats belonging to qualifying pet owners and caretakers in the middle Tennessee area and to provide and promote education for the humane care and treatment for all animals.”

Leashed dogs are welcome to participate and microchipping will be available for $25.
