Chris Bateman, a 1986 graduate of Moore County High School, seeks the position of Moore County Road Superintendent. Chris is a 1988 graduate of Motlow College, and 1991 graduate of the University of Alabama at Huntsville, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He has been employed with the Tennessee Department of Transportation since June of 1987. Chris obtained his license to practice Land Surveying in April of 1995 and still practices today.

Chris is married to the former Angela Austin and they have two children, Colton, eight, and Tyler, three.

“My decision to run for the office has absolutely nothing to do with Mr. Ferrell or the job he has done these past four years. I feel it’s finally time to run again for my family and me. I believe with my knowledge, experience and contacts, both within state government and politically, I can make a difference in our county. Please consider me when you vote in August as your next road superintendent.”
