LYNCHBURG, Tenn. — Christmas in Lynchburg, a daylong event that includes contests, cookies, Christmas trees, shopping, a parade through downtown, a chili supper and much more, has been highlighted for the last several years by the lighting of the Jack Daniel’s Barrel Tree.

Folks may begin gathering for the annual lighting of the most unique tree on Majors Blvd. in Lynchburg around 5 p.m.  It’s a family-friendly, community event that will include light refreshments — no alcohol. The tree will be lit around 5:30 p.m.
