The event, sponsored by Lynchburg Production Office this year, is an open invitation to all cancer survivors and caregivers from Moore County and surrounding areas. While the dinner has typically been held in May, this year’s dinner is scheduled for this week.
The dinner provides a unique opportunity for both survivors and their caregivers. While many people will participate in the different Relay For Life events throughout the area, the dinner allows survivors to connect on a more personal level.
The dinner also focuses on caregivers, the people — whether family, friends and even strangers — who rally around to be whatever help they can.
If anyone knows of someone who should be added to the local survivors list, call (931) 759-5655. Anyone who is a cancer survivor or caregiver who would like to attend the dinner should call the number as well.
