Ames wins Winchester SLM feature ahead of Brannon

WINCHESTER, Tenn. — Dylan Ames outran Elora’s David Brannon to claim the Super Late Model feature win Saturday night at Winchester Speedway. Tim Busha was third, while Jerry Ashley, last week’s winner, was fourth. Mark Haddon finished fifth. Jadon Frame, Steve Vann, Pepper Newby, Jamie Louden and Michael Williams completed the top 10.

Other winners on Saturday included Henry Hanger, Forrest Gifford, Jason James, Dewayne Hicks, Doug Waldrep and Hunter Sanders.

Hanger, of Winchester, claimed victory in the Two-barrel Late Model division, with Haddon second ahead of Shannon Davis, Randy Gifford and Jordon Judge.

In the Crate Late Model division, it was Forrest Gifford, of Flintville notching his season’s first win. Josey Seals and Kyle May were second and third, respectively, while Cody Ballard was fourth and Jason Leverette fifth.

In Modified Stock action, James earned the win over Eathan Simms and Bobby Bradford, while Johnny Payne and Timothy Wilson rounded out the top five.

Hicks was the victor in the Street Stock feature in front of Lynchburg’s Josh Bondurant, who won the season-opener. Third through fifth went to Kevin Whaley, Jimmy Cree and Matthey Renner.

In the Mini Stock Division, it was Waldrep over Sean Frederick, Justin Farless, Michael Brown and Zack Warren.

Sanders laid claim to the Vintage Dwarf class, with Lynchburg’s Jennifer Deal second and Jody Brannon third. David Ensley was fourth with Kelly Nunley fifth.
