LYNCHBURG, Tenn. — The seventh annual Jimmy Bedford Ride is scheduled for this Saturday, Oct. 8.

The annual event, which is a fundraiser for the Jimmy Bedford Ride Community Fund, begins at 10 a.m. at Wiseman Park, just off the square in Lynchburg.

Each year on the second Saturday in October, friends gather at the Moorehead Pavilion in Wiseman Park before taking their ride on motorcycles and in cars from Lynchburg up to Sewanee mountain and back with a  handful of stops along the way.

After returning to the park, the group enjoys lunch and fellowship.

The ride costs $40 per car or motorcycle. The donation includes lunch and a commemorative T-shirt. To register, go online to <www.jimmysride.com>. For more information, call (931) 580-9895.

Money raised from the annual ride benefits local charities in and around Moore County.
