It’s going to be a busy year in 4-H. There are lots of plans and activities that are going to take place within the schools and community. We are doing a service project this month in order to help the local food pantries to replenish their empty shelves for a new year.
Each 4-H member in 4th through 8th grade is asked to bring in at least one non-perishable food item to January 4-H club meeting. They will receive one point to attend weekend camp. The requirement for weekend camp is to do three projects and their demonstration/project board before they can attend weekend camp. They have to remember that this is a money free camp so they have to earn their right to attend. This year will be Moore County’s 55th year to attend Camp Woodlee. What a great time to spend with more than 120 school kids.
