MCHS vs. Cascade – April 20
The Raiders opened the game by honoring first responders and healthcare workers who work hard every day, especially this past this year, to keep the community safe and well. To make the night even better the Raiders eventually defeated Cascade 4-1.
The Raiders got an early lead in the first inning of the game. After a walk from Kyler Parker, Chris Martin doubled on a fly ball and gave Parker the time he needed to run all the way around the field. Kirby then took Martin’s place on the field and scored the team’s second point after Gage Burt hit a ground ball.
In the fourth inning, Cascade added their one and only point to the board.
The Raiders, however, soon returned fire by scoring their last two points in the fifth inning. Kaden White singled on a ground ball and scored after a double from Parker, who then quickly scored the final point once Martin hit another double. Pitcher Jacob Baker allowed Cascade one run on four hits throughout five innings. He struck out 11 players and allowed none to walk. Overall, the Raiders had six hits during the game.
