A Franklin County Sheriff’s Office deputy has been released from jail on $10,000 bond after being arrested for allegedly tip-ping off a suspect he was going to be arrested. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) was asked to investigate Deputy Timothy Martin Tyler, 47, on June 26 on the accusation, according to The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office. TBI agents were able to develop information that Tyler allegedly p r o v i d e d a suspect with information about his impending arrest. A Franklin County Grand Jury indicted Tyler with one count of misuse of official information. Tyler turned himself in to authorities.
