This year the Annual Lynchburg Christmas Parade which will be, Saturday, December 2nd @ 2 pm, the route will be the same as last year and line up will be in Wiseman Park and we will be using the new route which we established last year. From Wiseman Park the parade will take a left out of the park onto Main Street then a right on to Wall St. then once it hits Majors Blvd it will turn right. The parade will then proceed down the boulevard to the corner of Majors Blvd. & Main St. and take another right at the Cauble House back onto Main Street and then proceed onto the square and hit ¾ of the square and back down into the park. There will be pre-registration for the parade again this year. Of course horse riders and walkers will NOT need to pre-register but all other participants will need to. Horse riders will report to the last ball field in the park and wait there till all participants are lined up. There should be plenty of parking for trucks and trailers between there and the horse ring. If you are interested in participating with a float or motorized vehicle please call Linda Wolaver at 931-759-7163 from 8 am- 4pm or 931-307-8914 after 4 pm. Deadline for entries is November 28th. We will need to know your name, the length of your entry/float and the type of entry you have. On the day of the parade you will check in with Larry Moorehead and he will give you your number. Your spot will be flagged with the number you have been assigned all you will need to do is find your number and get in line. Line-up and judging will begin at 1:00 pm. Tower Bank will be the sponsor this year for the parade. We are looking forward to a great parade this year!
